COVID-19: A Message to My Clients
To my clients –
I am writing this post from both the heart and the mind as I reconcile with how this virus has had such a profound impact on the global community, the travel and tourism industry, and my business. This is not the first global disaster that has rocked both the world and the travel and tourism industry, but in my opinion is the first to disrupt all countries and communities equally bringing the world to a near total halt. I recognize the impact and uncertainty that the COVID-19 crisis is creating in our families and communities. My heart goes out to all who are affected directly and indirectly and my sincerest thanks to all of the healthcare professionals working to save others.
A sincere thank you to all of you for trusting me for your travel needs and sticking it out with me during this difficult situation. As the dust settles, the travel industry will have suffered tremendous losses. In the meantime, with the help of my suppliers, I am working hard for you on my own time to protect your investments in future adventures, and I know that what we are left with at this time is more disappointment than disaster.
The end is not yet in sight, but I am proud of the way my colleagues and partners in the industry have approached the problem and relaxed their policies to allow those that are unable to travel to retain the value of their bookings and those that are dreaming of future treks to far off destinations to book without fear. I hope that as we navigate this process together, you recognize that I am on your side, I am your advocate, and I will always push for the most favorable outcome. I hope that my contacts in the industry and my vision of what is happening on the ground have helped to take away some of the fear and uncertainty while making decisions about upcoming travel. I am proud to be part of such an amazing team at McCabe World Travel and feel lucky to be backed up by the best during this situation.
